In todays world, newspaper is the most important thing to study, without reading newspaper government jobs are very hard to clear. There are many newspapers available in India.
  • The Hindu
  • The Indian Express
  • The Economic Times
  • Business Standard
  • The Financial Express
  • The Times Of India
  • The Tribune
  • Dainik Jagran
  • Dainik Bhaskar
  • The Telegraph
  • Amar Ujala
  • Hindustan and many more.
In starting you couldn't understand that what has been written in newspaper but, don't worry make a habit to read newspaper everyday. Start from reading headlines and then after few days/weeks start reading their paragraphs.

➱What to read and what not to read?
Answer- You must learn the syllabus of your exam to find out what is important for you and what is not.

You can read "The Hindu" or "The Indian Express" or both.
Make notes from both of the newspaper. Editorials are best in "The Hindu" Newspaper and news related information is more in "The Indian Express" Newspaper.

In my opinion both of them are best for UPSC. You can choose as per your choice.

Good luck.
